During the pandemic, I returned to my hometown to live with family. In contrast to Chicago and New York, I was surrounded by nature and open spaces and became passionate about endurance sports. I worked various part-time jobs and traveled extensively to national parks and remote areas.
Blinds
2020—2021
The Blinds series was inspired by the pandemic and public orders to stay inside. Like others accross the United States, I became more active and started spending more time outdoors. In this series, I explore the feeling of being inside looking out and feeling life pass you by.
New Landscapes
2020—2021
Two years after starting the New Landscapes series in Chicago, I made additions. However, in this new addition, the landscapes became more uncanny and I started adding oversized elements that make the collage medium obvious.
